The Crossed Flags Online Racing League for NASCAR Racing 3

(1).All TCF members must obtain the online.cfg file from the league director and place this file in their respective N3 folders for league safe-guarding. You can e-mail the TCF president at jbaldrid@columbus.rr.com to get this file. At each TCF event if you place in the top 5 you must save your race results in the STANDINGS part of the game. When you save your standings your game will save the results in your N3/Exports folder. You must then e-mail these race results to the TCF president at jbaldrid@columbus.rr.com. Failure to do so may lead to elimination of race points. All drivers must also have ICQ to stay in touch with one another if you don't have it you can get it at www.icq.com

(2). Absolutely no running starts!!! All those found guilty of breaking this rule will be penalized 5 race points!!!

(3).All drivers please try to attend the drivers meeting with me at 5:30 before each race (you have to be on ICQ at that time

(4).At Winston NO BULL events (listed as such on the season schedule), winners of the events will recieve a $1,000,000 bonus in league earnings in addition to what they have earned at the particular track in which they placed first at. There will be 7 events in the NO BULL series. For each NO BULL event 5 drivers will be eligible for the bonus and made aware so prior to the event. For the first race of the season, Daytona, drivers will be made eligible by the holding of a NO BULL shootout event held at Daytona International Speedway. The top 5 finishing drivers will be eligible for the NO BULL bonus at Daytona and all other NO BULL events that particular season. I will make the drivers who are eligible aware of who they are at the driver meeting before the event. At the end of the season the driver who earns the most NO BULL money in addition to other money earned from placing in races will receive a special NO BULL top money winner award. The payouts for events are as follows: 1=$500,000 2=$300,000 3=$200,000 4=$175,000 5=$150,000 6=$125,000 7=$110,000 8=$100,000 9=$90,000 10=$85,000 11=$80,000 12=$75,000 13=$70,000 14=$65,000 15=$60,000 16=$55,000 17=$50,000 18=$45,000 19=$40,000 20=$35,000 21=$30,000 22=$25,000 23=$20,000 24=$18,000 25=$16,000 26=$14,000 27=$12,000 28=$10,000 29=$8,000 30=$6,000 31=$4000 32=$3,500 33=$3,200 34=$3,000 35=$2,800 36 and on=$2,600---> In addition to these payouts drivers will now be responsible for finances. Poles will earn drivers $1000. The hard charger bonus is for the driver that ends the race with the highest number of positions gained and earns the driver $500. Most laps lead awards the driver $250 and a lap led awards the driver $200. Race entry fees are $1000/event. Weekly expenses cost $2000. DNFs cost the driver $3000. If your money earnings level reaches below zero into negative numbers your race team is considered to have payed the race entrance fee for you to compete at the next event, as well as all other race expensives and you may continue racing. However, if your money earnings remain in the negative numbers for 3 races or more you MUST do ONE of the following and report your decision to the TCF President: 1) Lose sponsorship and submit a new car with the same car # or different “untaken” car # and new sponsor. 2) Sit out the remainder of the season and replace yourself as driver with a new driver for the remainder of the season or pull out for the season period. 3) Miss one race event and then return for 2 races....at the end of which if you have now gotten your money earnings out of the negatives you may return to the series full-time, if not you will be demoted to the TCF Busch Series for the remainder of the season. The money earnings are generally not a very big problem and most drivers will not have any problems with keeping out of negative expenses at all. These rules changes are another step to help improve driving quality in this league to ensure a high level of competition and fun.

(5).No irresponsible, purposely reckless drivers will be tollerated. A deduction of 5pts may take place.

  (6).No "heavy" foul language.

(7).ABSOLUTELY NO TYPING WHILE IN A PACK OF CARS OR IN TURNS.

(8). Once you exit the pits you may not move directly to the track, you must stay on the apron until you reach the backstretch. If you violate this rule, you may be penalized 5pts. While leaving the pits, you must stay in the right lane. If you stay in the left lane, if you cause an accident, you will be deducted 5pts.

(9). Tell drivers when you are entering and exiting pit road.

(10). If you are involved in a wreck, you may send a replay to me daddystabz@columbus.rr.com and I will determine what happened and who will be fined 10pts.

(11). If a driver is gaining on you quickly, let them by, they will probably return the favor later in the race if you are faster than them.

(12). The pole sitter or race leader determines when to accelerate for the green. Watch the pole sitter or leader of the race to determine when to accelerate.

(13).If you jump the start, you will be fined 5pts.

(14). TCF will follow the N3 points system from finishing posistion 1 to 32.

(15). Cars one lap down or more are expected to let cars that are on the lead lap go by.

(16).Drivers may only chat using the "t" key under caution. They can only use the F1, F2, etc. keys under green.

(17). Director's decisions are final and pending regarding all penalties and points deductions, etc.

(18). If you miss a race because you were unable to make it you will not be awarded any points. If you are not there you do not earn points. Show up for the next race and try to get back into the swing of things.

(19). (CAR FILES) All drivers will be required to provide the Crossed Flags Racing League with a paint scheme they intend to use in league races. This must be sent in as a .car file as copied from your Papyrus/NASCAR3/cars file. Rename your file with the first 6 letters of your online name before sending it to me so the files do not get mixed up. The number on the car must match the number that is approved by the TCF director. The number must be painted clearly on both doors, roof, and right rear taillight area. Each driver must request from the league a car number to be used in league races. (check the site under the Drivers link to see what numbers are already reserved). When your number is approved you must use it in all league races you compete in. There are plenty of numbers to go around, so each driver will only be given one number. The number you choose cannot start with a 0 as it will not score properly. If you plan on using a special paint scheme for a special event such as Daytona please let me know before-hand so I can arrange it and send it out to everyone BEFORE the particular event you intend to use the car in. The special paint scheme car MUST use the same number as your regular league car. When the season is about to start everyone needs to have the latest TCF carset to put into their NASCAR3/Car folders. This way everyone will see the same cars on the track. Another bonus is that anyone could provide screenshots for the site if needed. Just ask me anytime at daddystabz@columbus.rr.com for the newest carset and I'll get it to you ASAP. You can also reach me on ICQ at: 39173073.

(20). (SUBSTITUTE DRIVERS) A substitute driver may be used in case you might have to miss an event. To do so these steps must FIRST be taken: 1) U must contact Jonathan Baldridge and tell him why you must miss the particular event in question. This must be a good reason. The league director will then decide if the reason is good enough to warrant using a substitute driver. 2) After you get league director's permission you must submit the substitute driver's info to the league director. The info required is the same info required when actually joining the league(please see the joining info on the league webpage to see what this info consists of). 3) All points earned in the race the substitute driver competes in are the property of the driver the substitute filled in for. The substitute driver is NOT an official member of the league but is still subject to all rules applicable to regular league members. 4) If a substitute driver acts in a manner that is strictly inapropriate and illegal according to TCF rules and a multi-race suspension is enacted upon the substitute driver the original driver being subbed for is responsible to serve the remainder of the penalty as well.

(21). (PACE & YELLOW FLAG LAPS) Drivers must maintain a 1 to 2 car length gap between cars during pace/yellow flag laps unless they are entering or leaving pits. When yellow flag comes out you may race back to the line but do so safely. After you cross start/finish line ease off gas but DO NOT SLAM ON BRAKES. Coast into turn one and line up on the back straightaway. Your spotter should inform you if you are out of position. Wrecks under caution or in the pits may result in penalties being handed out to driver(s) responsible. If you warp during Pace/Yellow move high and maintain a constant speed.(this helps to prevent major wreck when you suddenly reappear) All drivers should use alt-I buttons to call for tow truck if car is too badly wrecked or does not start at beginning of race to prevent other drivers from crashing into your car. Yellow flag laps will be double file one lap before going back to green flag racing. Cars on the lead lap will line up on outside, cars one or more laps down will line up on inside. Your spotter will let you know where to go. When there are less than ten laps to go in the race any restarts will be single file. The N3 system is set up to automatically do this. Drivers not on the lead lap should move to the low side of the track when the green flag comes out so the leaders can race unhindered by lapped traffic.

(22). (LAPPED TRAFFIC) Even the best drivers have days where they end up one or more laps down to the leaders. If the leader comes up to lap you pick the high or low groove and then stick to it. If you car isn't handling well or the leaders easily catch up to you then move up to the higher groove and let leader(s) pass you. They will return the favor when it's the other way around. If you are running speeds close to what the leader is running then you can race them to stay on lead lap as long as you stay in your groove. Just remember to race them clean. Once the leader passes, lapped cars should move high and stay high when other drivers on the lead lap are passing. Leaders are responsible for safely passing cars they are about to lap. Always remeber to watch your mirrors!!!

(23). (PENALTIES) Penalties may be assessed for a variety of reasons which include, but are not limited to: Reckless driving causing accident(s), Wrecking another car(s) during caution-pace laps or while driving in pits, Intentionally jumping on starts-restarts, Swearing, abusive chat, or chatting during qualifying, Complaining about another driver during races excessively, etc. Penalties may be pending based on actions seen by host and/or complaints filed by other drivers AFTER race has been concluded. Penalties issued after actions are reviewed include but are not limited to: Driver put on probation, One race suspension (without use of provisional) at next regular race on schedule, Removal from league. Driver in question will be notified before penalty(s) will be handed out so they can tell their side of what had occured. Everyone will be treated as fairly as possible. Penalties will be handed out as a last resort in the best interest of the league. Decisions on penalties by league director will be FINAL and there will be NO appeals.

(24). (CHAT) Please use a minimum amount of chat during race, however important messages such as entering/exiting pits are very highly recommended. Swearing or complaining about other drivers during race will not be tolerated and may result in penalty being assessed. Good luck messages can be saved for warmup and pace laps. No chatting during qualifying.

(25). In the event you have been taken out of a race and are unable to continue you must leave the race immediately and exit the event. This helps to ensure a good connection for all the remaining people. It also alleviates the problem with people reviewing replays during a race causing "phantom" black flags and cautions to occur. This will aid me in keeping proper track of people receiving DNFs as well. Because if a person is out of a race and cannot continue, if they stay at the event they do not receive a DNF like they should. The game simply lists them as "running". If you are concerned about an on-track incident with another vehicle and wanted to save the replay to show me what had occurred instead e-mail or ICQ me and let me know approximately what lap the incident occured on and with whom. I keep full replays of every TCF event and will be able to view the replay in question to determine if penalties should be handed out.

(26). All members must now have the 1204 patch or 1215 patch if you have the acceleration pack, available from Sierra/Papyrus at: http://www.sierra.com/sierrasports/forums/motor/nr3beta/

(27). Congratulate the winner! LOL

This season is dedicated to the loving memory of NASCAR driver, Adam Petty. In the end he won the most important race of all. A race bigger than Daytona and the Brickyard even. The race that leads to the embrace of our Lord in Heaven, to look down on all NASCAR drivers for all eternity. To assure them all that in their time of need the guiding light of our lord will be next to every one of them, protecting and comforting them. Adam will be in every NASCAR race car, in the hearts of each and every driver forever more.
